The City of Oklahoma City has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP-OCITY-128) for construction or rehabilitation of Affordable Housing. The funding will come from the City’s Fiscal Recovery Funds provided under the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). The City Council allocated $8,250,000 of the City’s ARPA funds towards affordable housing which continues to be a growing need in our community.
This RFP requests proposals from residential developers, including non-profit developers, housing organizations, and service organizations for the construction and/or rehabilitation of affordable housing to generally serve households with incomes under 60% Area Median Income, consistent with the provisions of the ARPA. Development of transitional housing, permanent supportive housing, housing for youth, homeless, and/or other special needs populations is also eligible.
The timeline is short, so shovel-ready projects or near so, will be prioritized. Proposals submitted in response to the RFP must be submitted by August 17, 2022. Instructions to download the RFP can be found on www.okc.gov/departments/finance/bids-auctions-and-sales/bids.
Technical questions about the RFP must be submitted within Periscope, the electronic bidding system by August 3, 2022.
