Education Policies Manual
- Registration and Attendance
- Registration for classes will be managed through Tangilla. Students will be able to register until midnight the day prior to class.
- Walk-in attendance may be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis, depending on the class and the venue. Any meals served for class are not guaranteed to walk-in attendees.
- Students are expected to arrive prior to class and check in with staff or sign themselves in as they enter the classroom.
- When participating in virtual courses, students are expected to have their cameras on and be participating in class. Failure to check in during class, as well as participate, may result in zero credit given for class.
- OKCMAR is committed to providing a professional, respectful, and welcoming environment for all attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers, and staff. Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, abusive language, disruptive behavior, or conduct that interferes with others’ participation will not be tolerated. OKCMAR, as well as the instructor, reserves the right to remove any attendee from class without refund or credit.
- Fees, Refunds, and No-Shows
- CE classes are free for OKCMAR members as a part of their member dues except for Post-License, Broker-in-Charge, and NAR Certifications/Designations.
- Non-OKCMAR members may purchase registration for any class via Tangilla. Any non-member who attends as a walk-in and does not register prior to must pay for the class before entering class.
- If a fee has been paid for class and a cancellation occurs, a refund may be processed. Refunds are available up to the day of class.
- A No Show fee of $25 will be assessed for any student who registers for a class and does not attend without cancelling. If a class is paid for, a no-show fee will not be charged, but a refund will be denied.
- Cancellations and Event Changes
- In the event that class is cancelled for any reason, registered students will be notified as soon as the cancellation takes place.
- If a class has a location change, registered students will be notified as soon as the change takes place.
- Photography and Media Use
- Photos taken in class are for instructor and association communication use. Staff may enter into the classroom to take photos at any time.
- Photo release notices are posted upon entry to the classroom. Attendance in a class constitutes implied consent to be photographed for association use.
- Attendance Requirements
- Students must attend all of the scheduled class time to receive credit for class. No partial credit will be given.
- NAR Course Requirements
- All members of OKCMAR must complete a 2.5-hr Code of Ethics and 2-hr Fair Housing course every three years based on NAR guidelines.
- Continuing Education Credit
- Per OREC, licensees are ultimately responsible for furnishing evidence of successfully completing continuing education requirements.
- Per OREC, any entity conducting an approved CE course shall submit completion of the course to the Commission within seven (7) days of completion.
OKCMAR & MLSOK Event Policy
By registering for or attending an event hosted or co-hosted by the Oklahoma City Metropolitan Association of REALTORS® (OKCMAR) and/or MLSOK, you agree to the following policies. These guidelines are designed to ensure a professional, organized, and enjoyable experience for all participants.
Registration & Attendance
Advance Registration: Registration is required for most events. Seating, meals, and materials may be limited, so early registration is strongly encouraged.
Registration Deadlines: Each event will have a published deadline. For events with meals, only those registered by the deadline are guaranteed food service.
Walk-Ins: Walk-in attendance may be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, depending on capacity.
Check-In Required: All attendees must check in upon arrival.
Attendance Expectations: Attendees are expected to arrive on time and, when applicable, remain for the full duration of the event.
Fees, Cancellations & Refunds
Payment: For paid events, registration is not complete until payment is received.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected] at least 7 days prior to the event.
Refund Policy
Unless otherwise stated in the event description:
Full refunds will be issued for cancellations received 7 or more days before the event
No refunds will be issued for:
Cancellations received fewer than 7 days prior
No-shows
Same-day cancellations
Partial attendance
If OKCMAR or MLSOK cancels an event, registrants will receive either:
A full refund, or
The option to transfer to a rescheduled event (if applicable)
No-Show Policy
Paid Events: Registration fees are forfeited if an attendee does not attend.
Complimentary Events: A $25 no-show fee may be assessed if a registrant does not attend and fails to cancel by the deadline.
Repeated no-shows may result in restrictions on future registrations for complimentary events.
Late Registration
Late or walk-in registration may be allowed only if space is available.
Meals and printed materials are not guaranteed for late registrations.
Photography, Media & Recording
Media Consent: Attendance at an OKCMAR or MLSOK event constitutes consent to be photographed, recorded, or filmed for marketing, educational, and communication purposes.
Opt-Out Requests: If you prefer not to be photographed, please notify staff at check-in. While reasonable efforts will be made, complete exclusion from group or incidental images cannot be guaranteed.
Recording Restrictions: Unauthorized recording, livestreaming, or capturing of presentations, speakers, slides, or materials is strictly prohibited unless prior approval is granted.
Professional Conduct
OKCMAR and MLSOK are committed to maintaining a respectful, inclusive, and professional environment.
The following behaviors are not permitted:
Harassment, discrimination, or intimidation
Disruptive or unsafe behavior
Abusive or inappropriate language
Conduct that interferes with the event or other participants
Attendees who violate these standards may be removed from the event without refund.
Guests, Transfers & Eligibility
Registrations are generally non-transferable unless otherwise approved.
Events are intended for registered attendees only unless otherwise stated.
Children and unregistered guests are not permitted in sessions or meal functions unless explicitly authorized.
Event Changes
OKCMAR and MLSOK reserve the right to modify:
Event dates, times, or locations
Speakers, content, or program format
Any significant updates will be communicated through official channels.
