The election season for 2018 has officially begun. Candidates running for office started filing the week of April 11th through the 13th (at the writing of this article, filing had not officially ended). To help members maneuver through the upcoming election, OKCMAR has invited candidates who have filed for the office of Governor to attend the April membership luncheon on the 26th at the Central Oklahoma Home Builders Association.

The candidates who have been invited are:

Republican

Todd Lamb, current Okla. Lt. Governor
Mick Cornett, former Okla. City Mayor
Gary Jones, current Auditor & Inspector
Dan Fisher, former State Representative
Gary Richardson, Tulsa businessman
Kevin Stitt, Tulsa businessman

Democrat

Dre Edmondson, Former Attorney General
Connie Johnson, former State Senator

Libertarian

Rex Lawhorn, works in Tulsa
Chris Powell, works in Bethany

Each participating candidate will have the opportunity to share their biography, present their reason for running and answer two questions composed by the OKCMAR Government Affairs committee. The luncheon will be from 11:30 am to 1 pm at 420 East Britton Road in Oklahoma City. Cost to attend is only $10. To RSVP, please click here.
