CE: Understanding Unique Perspectives – From Gen Z to Clients with Kids
Continuing Education Type: Elective (ELE)
Putting yourself into someone else’s shoes can be difficult, but it is so important when walking them through one of the largest transactions of their lives. We have a new generation entering the market with experiences unlike any previous generation. Generation Z now makes up about a quarter of the workforce and just 3% of buyers/2% of sellers in 2025 (according to the NAR 2025 Home Buyers and Sellers Generational Trends Report). We are on the cusp of them becoming the driving force of the market. Now is the time to develop strategies to combat skepticism, reverse trends of distrust and utilize available technology.
Then we transition to clients with kids. Moving is stressful and kids introduce unique stressors to the situation. Their well-being is at the forefront. How will they adjust? How do their needs impact the required features of the new home? As agents, how do we navigate fair housing concerns as we answer parents’ questions about schools and safety? Providing resources to help parents navigate a move with kids, allows them to better focus on the process, assuring clarity in their decision making. Comfort and confidence are imperative when making a large purchase like a house. Agents’ ability to provide well-rounded service to their clients with kids is critical to the communities they support.
