The OKCMAR Foundation will once again be working with Habitat for Humanity on Saturday, April 14th. Volunteers will be building the framework on a deserving family’s dream of homeownership!
Each Habitat homeowner is carefully selected through a 4-step process made up of a list of requirements. One of these requirements is sweat equity, in which he or she volunteers in helping build other Habitat homes. What a great cycle of giving!
You would be surprised how much can be accomplished in a volunteer day. What seems like a few hours of your time is actually a big start in somebody’s homeownership dreams.
The 2017 build day happened to be cold and rainy, but it did not stop the group from building the framing for the house inside the Habitat for Humanity warehouse.
Let’s hope for perfect weather to allow the group to work outdoors, but know that your efforts make a difference – rain or shine!
