The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma delivers food each month to senior citizens living in 18 Oklahoma Housing Authority sites in four counties. On average, 994 seniors a month are served! Most residents are living on fixed incomes and are in the greatest need of assistance toward the end of the month. This is where the mobile market comes in! In addition to nonperishables, each recipient is provided with produce, refrigerated items and bread when available.
12 spots in two time slots are reserved for OKCMAR members to help distribute food on the morning of Friday, January 26th. When you register, you will see that there are two addresses listed. It may look confusing, but they lead to the same site. Volunteers will meet at the Food Bank truck located on the premises, where a coordinator will give further instructions.
