Pandemic Unemployment Assistance

Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA), established by the CARES Act, temporarily expands unemployment insurance eligibility to self-employed workers, freelancers, independent contractors, and part-time workers.

Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC) is a program that provides an extra 13 weeks of unemployment insurance after you have exhausted your regular benefits. 

If you are eligible for traditional unemployment insurance, you will receive Unemployment Insurance 39 weeks plus $600 a week until 7/31/2020.

If you were not traditionally eligible, you can apply and, if approved receive PUA for 39 weeks plus $600 a week until 7/31/2020

If you previously exhausted your unemployment benefits, you may now receive an additional 13 weeks plus $600 a week until 7/31/2020.
