CE: Smart Growth for the 21st Century

This class is worth 3 CE hours.

Course Objective

This course covers the three defining factors of Smart Growth: Economic, Environmental and Housing. Learn the benefits and long term effects of this type of development in our local market. Case studies will point out the value, necessity and economic  demand  of  the  10  Principles  of  Smart  Growth  as  defined  by  the  mixed  use  of  land.  You  will learn ways real  estate  professionals  can  support  Smart  Growth  as  an  investment  in  the  communities  in  which they live and serve by improving overall livability. This program qualifies for NAR $1500 Smart Growth grant.

Nate Johnson has been speaking to groups around the country, large and small, for over a decade. He is passionate about helping people become the best version of themselves through teaching and training. Nate is a certified instructor for the National Association of REALTORS® and teaches the Smart Growth for the 21st Century class, which helps REALTORS® gain a better understanding of how to build communities in a sustainable way. Nate is also certified to instruct NAR’s Discovering Commercial Real Estate course, which provides insight for residential practitioners who are considering commercial real estate. He is also a certified REBAC Instructor and teaches the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) designation course and the Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designation course. Nate also instructs a variety of other courses, including Fair Housing, Code of Ethics, Business Planning, Leadership and more.
