Composed of the OKCMAR President, President-Elect, Vice President, Secretary-Treasurer and the Past President, the Executive Committee meets on an as-needed basis determined by the Chair. The committee coordinates the overall input of the committees and staff administration to the Board, reviews the business plan of the association, develops long range plans, and drafts policies to be submitted to the Board for approval.
When an emergency situation pertaining to the welfare of the association arises, the Executive Committee is authorized to make a decision until a special Board meeting can be held to act in accordance with the Bylaws. The emergency circumstance must be determined and declared by a quorum of the members of the Executive Committee. Any emergency action taken by the committee must be placed on the Board agenda and be ratified in order to remain in full force and effect.
