A common error we’ve noticed is in the way pools are submitted in Matrix. Yes, Pool is an option under both the Features and General Information tabs.

The difference: under Features, the fields refer to amenities on the actual property. In essence, the Pool under Features refers to the private pool belonging to and maintained by the homeowner.

The Pool under General Information refers to a community pool. The HOA fees more than likely pay for its maintenance.

In 2018 Community Pool was removed from the Pool Type drop- down list because it is not considered an amenity of a home.

So next time you’re inputting the information on an apartment or a house with a neighborhood pool, please be sure to skip the Pool under Features!
